    The history of Dutch beer dates back centuries. As early as the Middle Ages, monasteries began brewing beer. However, it wasn’t until the Golden Age that beer became a commercial venture. Dutch beers were often brewed using techniques borrowed from other countries.

    After World War II, many beer styles disappeared, leaving pilsner, or lager, as the dominant beer type. Even today, pilsner remains the favourite beer of many Dutch people. However, since the 1980s, the number of breweries in the Netherlands has been steadily increasing, bringing Dutch craft beer back into the spotlight.

    • Kees – Known for its classic craft beers, as well as American and English-inspired brews like IPAs, Black Porters, and Coffee Stouts.
    • Frontaal – A brewery focused on innovation, balance, and creativity, producing popular IPAs, Barleywines, Tripels, and Stouts.
    • Baxbier – Based in Groningen, this brewery is behind the award-winning "Kon Minder" line, which includes a Tripel, Blond, Dubbel, and a refreshing Witbier.
